Of the off season acquisitions I thought Hiller was stellar. Not much he could've done on any of those goals.

Engelland was steady eddy. Really liked what he did tonight over all.

Raymond was meh for me. It's clear he's going to need a little time to adjust and get to game speed.

Other than that, Hudler and Monahan are same old same old.

Gaudreau, you can see it, how long until he destroys this league? His timing needs work as well and the period of adjustment is debatable.

Colborne was a stud tonight IMO, again though, timing isn't up to snuff yet.

Wideman needs a confidence boost. I dont think he saw any PP time tonight.

Brodie looks like he's going to hit that next gear this year. This should be a memorable season for him, and it's going to make the Flames pay through the nose on his next contract.

Anywho, Vancouver was beatable tonight, not going to sweat this loss though. Now on to Edmonton.
I agree. When the Flames signed Dennis Wideman, we all know he is creative with the power play and defensive needs some work. Before the injuries, Wideman was playing lots of minutes, PP, PK and regular duty. He seems to be playing well with more minutes. After the injury, his minutes went down and his play went down. I am pretty sure it affects his confidence as well. Unfortunately, it looks like the coaching staff are losing their confidence as well. How can you answer a question, why was Wideman not on any PP tonight? Who's our point tonight? Russell-Giordano, and Brodie-??. I don't have any problem with those 3 I mentioned just to be clear.
