If Baertschi goes down and plays well he'll get called up sooner rather than later. He's still young, and this route is take with players his age all over the league. In no way is this the injustice you're making it out to be and you've gone from voicing an opinion about it to outright whining.

This is such a generic comment. If the true story is that there was more than one prospect deserving of a spot but only one spot to give on a bottom 5 rebuilding team then that is a problem.
Using a variation of the Flames own opening night line up they could have easily went:
Gaudreau-Colborne-Byron
Baertschi-Backlund-Raymond
Glencross-Monahan-Hudler
Bollig-Stajan-Bouma
X-McGrattan-Jones
Beyond that the Flames had the entire off season to address the probability that they would have more then one LW prospect make this team.
