I follow this team as closely as anyone, and I can't remember a single person before you describing Brodie as bordering on elite defensively. In fact, for as much praise as Brodie's development has rightly earned him, I can't remember anyone describing him as bordering on elite in any aspect.
If you watch Brodie and see him on the cusp of entering Chara's echelon of defensive players, then we definitely are watching different Brodies.
