Another low risk move. Biggest upside is that he replaces Wideman which he very well could. Wideman is physically gifted and his huge weakness is terrible decisions. Pinches at the wrong time, goes for poorly timed hipchecks that too frequently result in goals against and makes bad passes. I would like to see Diaz replace Wideman as Diaz seems like he has much more room to improve because he makes fewer ill timed decisions that put us in terrible situations. Teach him to understand how the suicide pass works and how to avoid doing it and he'll be better than Wideman overnight. Trade Wideman if a team loses their #6 dman, win win.
