Agree with most of the posters here: the show is doing nothing for me.

A big problem is that it is so one note - In every single scene: Gordon is angry and self-righteous; Bullock is angry and corrupt; Fish Mooney is angry and cartoonishly over the top, Bruce Wayne is angry and damaged (do we really need to check in with him every episode to see him "testing himself"?), Selina Kyle is doing something cat-ish, etc.

Cobblepot is the only character that verges on interesting, and even he's one noted.

I was hoping the show would essentially be a rip-off of the movie Seven (Bratt Pitt and Morgan Freeman), with Gordon as a naive rookie and Bullock as a tired veteran, in a corrupt city (OK, that wasn't Seven), dealing with one or two truly dark psychopaths per season. Nothing to do with Bruce Wayne, and little to do with his foes; just Jim Gordon and Gotham. Instead we have, well, what I described above.

I'll give it another week or two, but not out of any enjoyment thus far.
