People seem to think meritocracy is an absolute that can only be decided upon, and applied, on opening night. Relax - it is an ongoing process.
As for Jooris - he had a great camp and has put himself on the map with respect to being a legitimate NHL prospect. I congratulate him and look forward to an eventual call-up.
Baertschi needs more development time. He'll be back also.
