If pressed, yes, I would probably switch my pick from Gaudreau to Bennett.
Gaudreau is ridiculously skilled and will almost certainly be a consistent point producer in the NHL for years and years. He's a remarkable hockey player to watch, and he is "ours". That's exciting.
I was extremely impressed by Bennett, however. I was surprised at just how complete his game is for an 18 year-old, and how well his high compete level translates to the next level in terms of observable results. I now understand why he garnered such lofty projections and eminent comparisons from scouts, fans and pundits leading up to the draft. He looks like a gem of a prospect, and I can already envision him as a leader for this team for a good long while. That's also exciting.
