I think he is trying to protect GP_Matt who is out in the open for the scum. We were on to him on day 1 and should have lynched his ass then. Gp matt and now starseed have likely gained some cool power. The game would not be so obvious to announce here is your list of scum.
You could equally assume Gp's actions as he joined this group to gain a power to help the town. We don't know. I prefer to wait for more info.
