It's great to see a surprise coming out of training camp but this guy comes out of almost nowhere. At best he was a third or fourth liner in Abbotsford and now he's knocking on the door of an NHL job. Ferland has been a nice surprise as well but at least he's had some previous success so he's been a hopeful and a guy you can't help cheering for. In Jooris' college career his best output was 32 points and he had unimpressive 27 points last year.
I think Gaudreau will get the last spot open and in order for us to keep another rookie, we'll need to cut a vet or put someone on the injured list. It could happen but cutting a vet is a long shot.
