Sven was fine in this game and has been solid the entire preseason. Doesn't seem to be any panic in his game anymore and looks refined. Certainly not the dire situation you are making it out to be.
He may get sent down to continue building up his confidence on offence, but I still think he is a prime candidate to get a spot out of camp with Gaudreau and if not camp, later on in the season.
