This is where you went wrong.
Anyone I do tech support for, without charging them a fee, has purchase the model I tell them to and to put exactly what version of software I want on their computer.
I refuse to support Thunderbird or WordPerfect. I don't want to deal with annoying hardware support at Asus, and I never, ever want to figure out why your Samsung printer is a giant PoS that wont print anything even though you bought it for $39 on sale.
