Aren't Cowboy fans aware how this movie goes? The season usually starts out with relatively decent expectations, they beat the crappy teams they're supposed to. For a half second in October and November they even look like potential, possible, maybe contenders. And then the meltdown comes in December, as always. It's clockwork isn't it?
Frankly I love this start for the Cowboys. The more that can be done to keep Romo and Garrett around the better for fans of every other NFL team. Still a 95% chance they finish 8-8 or within a game either way. The bigger takeaway from last night is how bad the Saints are. Could be a 6-10 season for them, defense has taken a big step back and so has the offense, though only one of those is surprising.
