Agreed, I think it can actually pretty dangerous thing. Not much doubt this guy was a ######bag but there is something really unsettling about anonymous people on the internet ganging up to be judge and jury on things. If laws were broken its up to the police and courts to handle it. You never know when some weirdo online is going to take this stuff too far. Even if it doesn't get physically violent, public shaming can be pretty damaging given how much of a person's reputation now reside in online profiles of different sorts. Not defending the guy in this case, but still doesn't seem right that people take to the web for justice. Most people online will make up their minds on something without clear facts, and come out with emotional responses that are far greater than what they would do in real life.
