Constantly taking the easy way out is only cheating yourself.. Not standing up to challenges will only leave you weak and unable to properly assess/react to an important situation some day

With that, "getting away with something" doesnt mean you out smarted anybody. This could be cheating on your SO, lying to a friend, thinking the guy who loaned you 100 when you needed it forgot and you are in the clear or a plethora of other scenarios. It just makes you a good liar, which will become part of you and you will be a ####ty person.

Family may frustrate you, but for future you'd sake, stay in touch and stay honest. If you are distant or on bad terms, most times simply showing up or picking up the phone will lead to reconciliation. Make the first move.

Kids are far more amazing than you could imagine, even if you didn't think you'd enjoy them. If its an unplanned event, use it as a reason to reinvent yourself. For me, it gives me motivation I previously lacked to be the person I want to be seen as ALL the time instead of when it was convenient or easy.

The worst one to admit is that even if your parents aren't that intelligent, and you are, their life experience and perspectives were without a doubt right substantially more than yours while growing up.

A nice slice of humble pie never hurts

Lots more.
