I do like the reference/Titan-style cooler however, it's quieter than the Classified cooler I had on one of my 680s, and it's rated for 250watt cards, and the 980 only has a TDP ~165watts. At 40%/2000RPM it keeps it stable in all games (besides like FurMark etc) at ~80c/81c, which is just fine for me. Most coolers I find can have their noise levels mitigated by a well tuned fan curve, especially these Maxwell cards, since they use a staggeringly lower amount of power than the last few gens.
I'm really excited to SLI with these puppies too, the scaling is out of sight. Most comparison reviews are showing scaling from between 50%- 100%, with just the launch drivers. Pretty awesome stuff. I haven't seen dual-card scaling at that level since the 5xxx series AMD/ATI cards.
