But it was discussed for weeks!
Even the thread with the poll, it was mentioned many (many, many) times that the poll was to get an idea of the thinking of the forum. It was not meant to decide a "winner", it was to elicit the feelings of the board.
And there were a lot of good points debated.
So I'm not sure why the result is a surprise.
If you are out with your wife/daughter/girlfriend/significant other, would you ever say, "I want to hit that" or "She's a 2/10"? You might when with a group of your male friends, but I'd bet the vast majority would not if there was a woman around.
Yet those sort of comments are all over the forum. The YLYL thread was like the calendar of busty women on the wall of a garage or workshop. It isn't very welcoming to the women on the forum and it seemed to trigger a boy's club mentality that made things even more uncomfortable.
There is nothing wrong with pictures of beautiful people. The problem is the behaviour it seems to trigger.
