Who in a busy place is going to want to broadcast a facetime chat with their friends or partners or worse yet at work be broadcasting chats with your wife or new girlfriend? I simply don't see how a phone the size of a tube of lipstick is going to be useful in any way as the projector angle simply doesn't work. IMO the only real area they can go is with folding screens to which the overall phone size is smaller but the screen folded out is more inline with a 5"+ screen. Until we get to the point that we can tap into our brains I simply don't see anything significant on the horizon as it's going to be medium to large size phones for the coming years. There will be improvements to keyboards and voice commands but right now what you see is what we are going to get outside of better screens and batteries.

I think you may need to be a bit more imaginative here. I'm not talking about projecting your screen onto the side of a bus to read a text message. Your little lipstick-sized phone could pop open a little frame the size of a Note into which a display is projected or something. Or maybe the screen will just roll open, who knows.
Mark my words, phones will become smaller, but with still-large displays. There's no doubt about it.
