I think he was consistent in this game though. Better results appeared when he played with better players though. I do agree that granlund and gaudreau played better but after watching his shifts for a second time I just don't get the criticism. I watch his game tonight and he seems to be doing everything that management wanted to see improvements in. I don't see him turning pucks over or losing battles along the boards. I can see at least a few of you agree with me. Here's hoping he keeps improving every game in the preseason and earns a spot.
Side note: we knit pick baertschi tonight but I think most would agree he looked better than the top guys from Phoenix tonight... Doan, handzus, etc.
