We're very aware that our Canadian customers are currently paying a high import tax when purchasing the OnePlus One. Thus, it’s inspiring to see many Canadian fans still purchasing our device despite these high costs.
Currently, the only shipping option is via DHL from our United States warehouse. It’s unfeasible costs-wise for OnePlus to open a Canadian warehouse, but we’d still like to to help however we can. Some have suggested on these forums that USPS will charge more initially for shipping, but less taxes and less overall. We want to test this suggestion. Tomorrow, 100 Canadian orders will go out using USPS instead of DHL. USPS is more expensive than DHL, but we’ll cover the extra costs during this test.

I doubt that'll be the case. Canadapost. By law they are entitled to charge the same $10 brokerage + GST (or HST in some provinces). The only thing being saved is the $5 at door collection fee DHL charges and Canadapost having far superior tracking and delivery options. Although I guess the thing is with Canadapost they rarely ever actually leverage duties on packages I've ordered so that may be a savings right there.
