I've learned over the years, the thing about Nature, is you need to take a lot of its articles with a grain of salt. It's so competitive and prestigious to publish there that authors tend to over-represent their findings, and make claims that aren't well supported by their data. Both Nature and Science are big journals, but they also lead the charge in retracted articles.

I'm not implying these journals are poor in any way, but I'm always critical of articles that attract the attention of the mainstream media.

I am really interested in seeing more research done on the human microbiota, though. It's a major interest of mine. Very fascinating how different organisms can combine in different ways and have profound effects on their host.
