So I checked out that Veritas place today..

Made to order (pick the leather, sole, and style) is $400 for shoes, $450 for chukkas. Approx 2 week turnaround

Made to measure (3d scan of your foot, pick leather, sole, style) is $1200 for shoes.

They have a "grand opening" sale where made to order is 30% off, and the made to measure is $500 off ($700 total).

About 40 different choices of leather colors, and fairly standard shoes available.

Might consider dropping the $100 for the eservus gc and giving it a try.
