The last five NHL arenas that opened cost the following, adjusted to 2014 dollars according to wikipedia:
Consol Energy Center, Pittsburgh - $352M
Prudential Center, New Jersey - $375M (no adjustment figure given)
MTS Centre, Winnipeg - $180M
Gila River Arena, Phoenix - $282M
American Airlines Center, Dallas - $559M
For the recently built CFL stadiums, here are some more 2014 dollar figures:
TD Place, Ottawa - can't find a cost figure
Tim Horton's Field, Hamilton - $145.7M
Investor's Group Field, Winnipeg - $210M (2013)
New Mosaic Stadium, Saskatchewan - est. $278M
Ball park things at $250M for football and $400M for an arena as a minimum. That's my guess.

Don't forget the inevitable "Alberta Surcharge" due to labour issues. A lot cheaper to get labour in most of those markets versus Alberta
