I just wanted to let y'alls know about a neat thing happening around our city this coming weekend, September 27-28. I did a search and didn't see it mentioned yet. It's called Doors Open Calgary or DOYYC. 33 sites around Calgary open up their behind the scenes areas for the public to go through and see. Ex. Calgary Transit has a ctrain wash, and they let the public go onto the ctrains as they go through the wash. Canada's Sports Hall of Fame opens up its collections areas and tours the public through (shameless self promotion). SAIT opens up its aerospace training hangar for the public. Many, if not all of these sites are free for this weekend. So check it out.

Cochrane also has their own version:

Some sites require registration so make sure you check ahead of time. Hope you all get to go out and see some sites. We live in an amazing city and I know I personally don't get to see enough of it.
