$600 won't get you much. For that price range you already went to where I would suggest. (Source) The stuff is marginable better than Ikea.
The next level would be from manufacturers like Artopex, 3H and possibly Global. You can get some decent stuff from these manufacturers. 3H manufactures to the inch....meaning if you need a 63" return, they make it. The others manufacture to 6" increments.
As stated most of the major contract office furniture dealers have a used section. There can sometimes be very good deals here but it is hit and miss.
