I can certainly understand Jets4Life's thought processes here. He is a fan of a team that is run as poorly as the Oilers and, now that the initial honeymoon has ended, is as irrelevant as the Senators. This wasn't an honest question or opinion, but a desperate plea for attention.
The Jets have a few pieces, sure. But they aren't even a huge threat to break into sixth in the Central, let alone contend for a Cup. Continued good drafting might help, but given the franchise is loathe to spend money, the Jets seem to be on the verge of becoming a feeder team for everyone else. I'd bet on Kane and Byfuglien being traded before that team sniffs a post-season berth.
