I use Google Play music and quite like it but I lean more towards Pandora/Songza/Rdio now than my own library. I also long press on the volume buttons to skip back and forth on tracks.

Apple earpods (that comes with their iphones) have headset controls built in, and I think they are pretty decent earbuds (I actually use a set with my S3). You can skip tracks, control volume, and take calls on an Iphone. I can actally skip tracks on android with them but its buggy and laggy, sometimes songs seem to freeze up when I do it.
My Galaxy S3 came with a similar set of earbuds but they sound atrocious, I don't like them at all. And I haven't ever seen an alternative either, seems like 3rd party accessories are pretty limited compared to what gets made for Iphone.
