No it doesn't, but it also means that more likely than not they won't be around for the consequences of the vote. The line had to be drawn somewhere and I think for something of this magnitude it was correct.
That actually reminds me, I recall that some parties in Northern Ireland were pushing for an Irish Unification referendum for 2016 and no later than 2021. Do you know if that is something still in the works?
