No one is untradable - and I never recall anyone saying give him away for less than he was worth, an example would be the Seguin trade rumours and packaging Johnny and Sven to Boston in order to obtain Seguin.

Things like "Waste of a pick" and "Should have just traded the pick" was giving him away for less than he was worth. And shows a lack of understanding of the process of a draft.
People are entitled to their opinions of course. But if your opinion is something of an absolute, be prepared to be ridiculed if/when you're tasting you're foot.
EDIT: A good example is Chris Lindberg's stance on Backlund that he was not and never would be an NHL player. A statement he stood by for multiple years and it became more ridiculous as time went on and Backlund progressed. The harder you dig in about an opinion on something that is completely unpredictable, the more backlash there will be when you are shown to be wrong and. It's a lesson in humilty for some people. And it does seem to be the same people who make absolute predicitions about players either way.
