But his Olympic play is part of the problem. There was concern about guys like Toews and Doughty - in their early 20s - not having enough juice in the tank for the playoffs after playing big minutes in the Olympics. I'm betting they had their ice time dialed back in the last third of the season to keep them fresh. That's what Boudreau was trying to do - keep those 43-year-old legs fresh so Selanne could be effective.
