Your Rolex logo is not comparable because It gives a status so let's not go there.
My point is we already accept small logos. Many in this thread have said they would accept CFL style advertising on jerseys. If these two are acceptable once they are implemented we will slowly accept more advertising.
So I would agree with people that if today they went full soccer their would be outrage now and boycotts. But gradually moving toward advertising will boil us like a frog in a pot
