Essentially what Bandwagon said.
You're taking Johnny's words to heart in a really exaggerated fashion. Sure, he says politely "Yeah, I should've kept my head up", but in the end - as evidenced very clearly in the link I provided and also in the video I mentioned, that his head was up the entire time.
