Apple fanboys talk about... well, usually Apple, because most of them have no idea what the latest/'coolest' non-Apple phone is.
It shows you the power of the Apple brand. Companies STILL make commercials that aren't about "being good" but about "being better than Apple." Android fanboys can't resist the urge to join in on conversations about Apple, "Us too! Pay attention to our stuff!"
I've never met an Apple fanboy who cares what Google or Microsoft are doing, but I sure do meet a bunch of Android/Windows fanboys who care an awful lot about what Apple is doing.

Doesn't that just mean that Apple fanboys are blind to everyone else while Android/Microsoft/etc fans are willing to compare?
