He fights much better than your average goon, without taking excessive dumb penalties. On the ice for most games played last year. Valuable member of the team with many intangibles, but I'd argue he does not contribute offensively nor defensively (as his advanced stats clearly demonstrate) any better than the average goon.
I think that line works out well for nobody. Sometimes you mix and match linemates to compliment each other, but unless there's some degree of overlap, sometimes they negate each others strengths.
