The media is definitely blowing this out of proportion.

Canadian health workers should "remain vigilant" for cases of the respiratory virus EV-D68, the Public Health Agency of Canada said in a public health alert.
In a statement sent to more than 4,000 health professionals across the country, the agency said it's aware of confirmed cases of the virus in Alberta, as well as "multiple other clusters of mild and severe respiratory illnesses" in children in other provinces. These other cases haven't been confirmed to be EV-D68, although testing is underway.
The health alert was sent "to increase awareness" and to ensure health-care professionals "remain vigilant for possible enterovirus infections causing respiratory illness."
On the weekend, Windsor Regional Hospital in Windsor, Ont., closed its pediatric unit to visitors after 11 children sought help at the emergency room for respiratory problems.
