I clicked on the thread only thinking "Gattaca, no one will say that", and its the first response.
Contact makes you think too, but if you get what Gattaca is all about (and unfortunately the tag line in the advertisements hits you over the head with it), at the end, you'll sit and reflect about your life and the life of those around you. All the while you just watched this 1984ish sci-fi movie.
