You have my sympathy. Same thing happened to me in 2004. I used to park at the Zoo and take the train downtown. I had a '96 Neon. Chrysler products from that time are one of the easiest cars to steal. All you do is smash the cover on the steering column and you're off to the races.
The sad part was, on the last day before the insurance company was prepared to write the vehicle off the cops called and told me they had found that piece of crap. Didn't surprise me the vehicle was found in Forest Lawn.
