He already has sky-high level skills and hockey iq. Even if he has some learning to do (ie systems), would it not be preferable to have him mentored by our best coaches and veteran NHLer's?
Not to mention the deterrence factor of having Engelland, Bollig, Bouma and McGratton ect around on the big club.

I guess the question remains, then what is "well enough." I believe that the bar is set pretty high for Gaudreau. He will quite literally have to be the best forward in camp to make the team; given any margin for error to select between Gaudreau and a veteran player, then chances are that the coaching staff will choose the veteran.
