I actually Gaudreau was a poor linemate for him.
Gaudreau is all speed, open ice, and chances off the rush, Smith needs to be planted in front of the net or cycling on a line that does it's dirty work in the corner.
More intrigued to see him tonight with Granlund and Ferland. Personally think those two will fit his skill set better.
