I don't understand people being so upset about Raimi "changing" things between the comic book and the movies. The Venom story, in its comic book form, is something that is completely out of place in Spider-Man's world. It's an ALIEN SYMBIOTE. Spider-Man is not at its core a story about running off to different planets and such. That's the Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange and all them.
The Venom/Carnage story in the comics is actually fairly out of place. I really hope Raimi changes the story for the black suit/Venom and all that for the movies.
If the story in the comic is lame or in need of fixing, then of course I'm in favor of changes being made. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
