This wasn't discipline, this was a beating on a 4 year old by a 220 pound, extremely ripped athlete. AP deserves whatever punishment he gets.

this is the problem, the ease of forgiveness.

these guys who likely come from some pretty incomplete home situations growing up, who ride their athletic ability, are treated as heros from the time their in highschool and bubbles form around them where everyone around them insulates them and create an environemntt where the signals of violence, lack of respect for authority, etc, are simply ignored due to their potential to make all-state, get that big scholarship, have a chance at the pro's, yada, yada, yada. once they're in the pros, they've been practically untouchable. They have gotten away with assault, drugs, dui's, manslaughter and murder.

peterson's son was killed by one of his baby momma's boyfriends just last year. you'd think he'd have a level of compassion on his kids.

no respect for NFL players, they are barely human in my eyes. the f'd up upbringing, the beneficial treatment all their lives and now making dozens of millions a year, without having an ounce of humanity. I'm happy to stop being so stereotypical and painting the entire group with the same brush, but i'll wait till there's a year when there are more positive stories than there are of assaults, domestic abuse, rapes, murders, drug and dui's, steriod/hgh use.
