So far I am really loving this game, it's definitely not complete as i do miss some of the stats plus other nuances that were in past editions but with the game play being so realistic, I'm having a blast playing each game. I'm a big fan of the new menus and once I got used to them found them to be very convenient.

I did make one change how ive played in the past since the AHL players wont be collecting stats, although afterward i did read in OP that they do in fact level up. I ended up turning off the waivers so I've been able to demote/recall whomever i want whenever and so far Gaudreau has played in 3 NHL games getting points in two of them (all assists, lol). The CPU has been signing free agents and the Flyers just made a trade with the Islanders and while i haven't been offered a deal yet, i do keep forgetting to update my trade block.

Even though i have the trading difficulty set to hard, I have been able to deal Backland, Wideman, D.Jones and Stajan for some surprisingly younger players i felt were talented but the game didn't have their projected value set very high in J.Andersson (DET), T.Wingels (SJS), D.Savard (CBJ) and A.Chiasson (OTT). I found the Superstar setting not to be challenging enough until i turned up the AL sliders of Learning, Difficulty Adjustment and CPU Strategy Adjustment. I actually turned those almost all the way up and then reduced the overall setting to All-Star and now whether if i take the lead or i get blown out in the first period, there's always the chance of a come back for either of us.
