Yeah my iMac, Apple TV, iPads, iPods and iPhones all work together so flawlessly that Apple would really have to drop the ball for me to ever consider leaving the ecosystem. The only hardware failure we have had in any apple product (outside of wireless mouse) is my young son's ipod touch that he dropped in the toilet. Funny thing is that it still worked after being fully submerged in water but the screen got dark (backlight failure I assume). We paid $100 and Apple sent us a refurbished one. They have a good track record in my house so why would I change for a few extra pixels or some software differences that I may never use anyway? Wireless charging would be nice though.
