The NFC thing makes me laugh. A friend of mine (who is an Apple fanatic) won't accept that there is such a thing as the Apple effect, where Apple will release a feature that has existed for some time but will start seeing rapid adoption
simply because Apple has released it. NFC payments have been around since WP8 and earlier versions of Android. At least two years, in other words. But now that Apple has it, we'll start seeing more widespread adoption.

The thing is that more people will be able to identify that $350 watch at a glance than will recognize that you or I wear a $15,000 watch to work. Plus the sheer popularity of the item and presumably the inability to track a stolen one like you can a mobile phone.
