Ummm...
this patriotic Canadian doesn't approve of the National Capital Commission spending millions of taxpayer dollars on a party that can only be enjoyed by
a) those who happen to live in Ottawa (and are likely suckling off the government teat anyhow), or
b) those who can afford to take a vacation (for many people, across 3 time zones)
(and believe me...the NCC is not a self-funding operation...it does suck a lot of taxpayer dollars!)
There's your "CANADA DAY DOWNER" over and done with!
