I don't mind when there's a 'failed' prospect. Seeing the few making it to the big show is a lot more interesting than everybody being good. All that does it make all the prospects/players less valuable/special in relation.
It wasn't linear progression though. My issue was almost no rookies would play for the team until 5 or 6 years after drafting. That was boring
