-Get better player progression out of draft picks
-Lots of late draft picks that have a better likelihood of cracking the AHL or NHL
-Lots of elite players scoring more points, hitting over 100 points more often rather than seeing the highest scoring forward in the season only hitting around 80-90 points. Defenseman can even hit 60-70 points sometimes too.

This guy goes through a lot to explain how great this GM mode is and how much they've upgraded it. Xbox One players, I really hope you didn't throw out your 360, because NHL15 will be worth it on that console.
The problem is that these are simply minimal improvements and not actually new features.

It's nice that scoring is a little higher and younger players develop faster, but these improvements come from literally adjusting sliders.

Yes, things are better, but they are not new.

I honestly thought we'd get things like coaches in the current gen version of Be A GM, or player suspensions, or being able to re-sign players mid-season, or improvements to how ridiculously common injuries are.

We didn't get any of that. We get barely anything in the current gen versions of the game. In the last gen versions, we get exactly the same game, but with a couple scoring and development sliders having been tweaked slightly.

That is not a new game. It is a $70 patch.

I would have bought this game if it had exactly the same features as 14, but with improved graphics and gameplay. My expectations were low. Unfortunately, we have to choose between improved gameplay and graphics but minimal replayability, or a slightly improved version of NHL 14 on dated hardware. I've bought every NHL game since 2001, but unfortunately I don't see a reason to buy this game. There has been no game series I've spent more time on over the last three years, and yet here I am not even interested in spending money on this.

The NHL series took 1 step forward and about 5 steps back this time around, and we all know in the next 3-4 years, these removed game modes will be re-introduced as new features.
