Shaving the hairs on your upper cheek will not result in it growing back thicker or in greater quantities. If the hair is going to grow there, it will regardless. You may think that shaving it produces that result but it doesn't. By shaving you cut the hair across and give it a blunt tip rather than a whispy end that results from a new hair being grown from the folicle. The bluntness of the shaven hair is often mistaken for thicker hair as the hair is generally a uniform thickness down to the skin line as opposed to a gradually increasing conical radius that plateaus when the hair reaches it's maximum thickness as it does in new growth hair.
