Default Concrete in the river by calf robe being cleaned up....

Anyone else notice this last couple days?

Ever since the flood, there's been a big pile of old concrete slabs sitting a third or so of the way out from shore, a few hundred yards or so south of calf robe bridge. Before the flood, it was part of the shore as the flood washed that part of the shore away and made this big pile a little island. I remember it from rafting by it lots of times. There was also tons of shattered glass along there too.

So anyway, driving by it the last couple days I noticed that crews are cleaning it up....looks like part of the shore rehab that they've been doing along there all summer. All that shattered glass actually looked like it might just have been an old party spot along the river for years before deerfoot was built....there was a helluva lot of it though.

I always wondered what might have been there before. Anyone remember or know?
