If you don't want to get pregnant, don't have sex. The examples you've provided of what you tell your niece is exactly the problem, and why men continue to feel entitled to sexually assault women.
EDIT: That came off a lot harsher than I meant it to. I apologize. What I meant to say, is telling your niece these things has the potential to be quite damaging to her should she ever be assaulted.
