The Catholic church teaches that it is a person's good works that earn them their way into heaven. This is the definition of religion and what sets the Christian faith apart from religion. The Bible teaches that there is nothing a person can do to earn their way to heaven on their own, it is only through repentance and faith in Jesus that one can get right with God and make it to heaven.
Sorry, I was not sure if those were typos or not. I will clear up some points:
There are multiple bibles floating around, the Jewish religion follows the original, written about 1,000 BC. You guys added to those books - to Jews, that is no longer the bible.

Heaven is not in the Jewish bible. Jews only have their life right now - not some afterlife thing. Your definition of religion is just yours, not everyone else's. Jewish people typically have no faith in an afterlife and 'repent' to those they may have done wrong to. In other words, if you did something bad to someone, you are supposed to make things right. Not say sorry to a god or whatever.

That books you guys consider holy, although you call it the bible, is not everyone's bible. Your version is more like a 'part two' and it has no connection to the part one. Different authors, different audience, different actors, different stories, different studio, etc.

Ours was written a long time ago, by probably 4 or so people. Our was likely based on existing mythology at the time. I don't doubt for a second our book is pure fiction.

Again, your bible not all bibles.
